Giants Campaign (for Pathfinder) Type: Adventure, Roleplaying, Combat Players: • Nerts, Cloud-Giant Sorcerer • Slizith, Golian Bard (or Monk?) • Barry Welles, Gnoll Ranger • DPS/Tank • Skill-Expert/Support -RULES- -Player Size- • Player characters must not be naturally Medium size, this campaign is for Large or Small PCs only. • PCs may use magic or abilities that alters size temporarily, magical items that change size are restricted to temporary durations. • Normally Medium-sized races are permitted to be played as Small or Large sized for any reason. • Large/Giant characters must be taller than 10ft. Small characters no higher than 3ft. • Only one naturally small character permitted for each two large-sized PCs in a group. • Large-sized players gain 7 HP extra per level to account for their size. • Due to Large size, each giant gains +2 STR and -2 DEX adjustments on top of their racial scores. -Races Permitted- • The following official Giant races: Hill, Stone, Fire, Frost (And only one of Storm, Cloud or Rune) • The following core races: (Only one of) Halfling, Gnome (including any amount of large-sized) Human, Dwarf, Elf, Half-Elf, Half-Orc. • Including Campaign-specific races: Golian, Primal Saurian, Myrmidon (Bonus for having at least one party member for each race). • Other race choices negotiable, including: Warforged -Magic tweak: Spell Points- • Spells are cast using the Spell points variation found here: http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/magic/spellPoints.htm • Additionally, bonus spells based on high ability scores grant bonus spell points and spell slots. • Casters now decide which spells they have access to at any one time with spell slots, while using points to cast them. -Psionics- • Psionics are allowed in this campaign. -Class Tweaks- • Rogues and other 'Sneak Attack' classes may flank targets facing away from them, this is called a 'Juke flank'. • The squares that a juke-flank can occur are the three squares opposite the target's facing. If the target is facing south, the north, north-west and north-east squares are the juke-flank squares. • The target who is struck from a Juke-flank automatically turns to face their attacker after the first successful attack. • Paladins' alignment is now determined the same way as a Cleric, in that you must be within one step from your deity's alignment and no stuck with Lawful-Good. • Monks gain additional Ki Pool abilities listed in another document provided by the GM. -Gesalt/Dual-Classing- • Dual-Classing is permitted only for groups of 2 or less. • Dual-classes get to pick two classes and able to use the class features of both, with the highest value of their HP, saves, base-attack-bonus and spell-points. • Those who get the chance to Dual-Class must prepare and update sheets for single-class version of their character at a moment's notice, single-class is mandatory. -XP progression tweak- • XP and the progession do not use the Pathfinder standards, instead it's based off contributing, achieving and attendance. • XP to level is (3 + integer_of_next_level), at level 1, this becomes (5 + 2) due to Lv2 being the level you're earning towards.
