I have a great interest in how games work both digitally and
physically and the way gamers play them. I look both at the visual and
aethetic aspects of the game creation process and regularly deal with
the theory of game mechanics. To be a great artist is what I want to
become, and I draw daily to keep my skills sharp. I have dabbled in a wide variety of skillsets and a fast
learner. I know the ins and outs of Photoshop
and have used Adobe After Effects
to create a decent showreel in just under four days from starting. I
have used Maya in the past to
model, texture and rig a 3D asset and also used Pro Logic to produce music for
aforementioned showreel. My goal is to use my talents to work for the games sector, as
a 2D concept artist who can
help the creative team realise designs for characters, environments and
props that establishes the look of everything. Work in actual game
design for how a game plays and works would also be a great interest of
mine, as I have attempted balancing gameplay in my spare time for fun,
being able to productively apply this knowledge would be a good boon
for me. While I have little experience in programming languages, I do
however have a good knowledge in web design with HTML and CSS in mind. I'm not too
bad around working with computers either, possessing a BTEC National Diploma in ICT and A+ Certification in Computing. My interests aren't just limited to gaming! I have an interest
in comicbooks, storytelling and roleplaying too. The idea of turning
stories into visual imagery, and making stories interactive are one
reason I wanted to get into game design, to be able to tell stories in
an engaging, interactive way that makes people happy. You can keep updated on my progress through LinkedIn: |
